Usage and maintenance

Instructions for using radiator:

Δ When testing the water in the community, it is necessary to leave someone at home, open the inlet and outlet valves, and check the radiator and connections.
Δ The air release valve (running air) should be in the closed state.
Δ Do not shake the radiator, and do not load the radiator connecting pipes
Δ During the heating period, valves should not be frequently opened or closed, and can only be in a fully open or fully closed state.
Δ When water leakage occurs, immediately close the inlet and outlet valves.
Δ Full water maintenance is most ideal for steel radiators. The radiator is suitable for closed heating systems and needs to meet the national standard GB50019-2003.
Δ During the initial heating stage, radiators may produce noise due to insufficient system pressure and flow, which is a normal situation. The noise will disappear once the system is filled with water. Alternatively, adjust the radiator outlet valve to reduce the water flow rate. Once the radiator is filled with water, the sound will disappear. At this point, the radiator outlet valve can be opened to its normal position.
Δ The freezing of water in the radiator cavity can cause deformation or weld tearing of the radiator. Therefore, if the heating system is not running or the user closes the valve at the entrance or on the radiator, the water in the radiator will freeze when the room temperature is below 0 ℃, and the radiator will be damaged by freezing.
Δ The radiator should not be disassembled arbitrarily, and should be protected from bumps, heavy pressure, and knocking during use.

Maintenance instructions for radiator:

Δ It is recommended to use full water maintenance for steel radiators. The disadvantage of steel radiators is that oxidation corrosion occurs due to the combined action of oxygen and water. The purpose of full water maintenance is to eliminate the air in the heating system (which contains oxygen), thereby reducing corrosion to the heating system
Δ Before the arrival of the new heating season, the air release valve, plug, and pipe fittings connected to the radiator should be inspected. If there is any looseness at the threaded connection due to thermal expansion and contraction, it should be tightened to prevent water leakage after heating. When cleaning the surface of the radiator, please use a soft towel or brush. Do not use any type of organic solution. Daily detergents such as dishwashing detergent and weak alkaline soapy water can be used.

Instructions for using underfloor heating:

Δ First-time use
For underfloor heating users who use centralized heating sources, during the first few days of trial operation of heating pipelines by heating companies in winter, the main valve should be closed as much as possible to prevent impurities and foreign substances from flowing into the underfloor heating system due to pipeline flushing by the heating company. In order to protect the floor, when using the underfloor heating system for the first time, attention should be paid not to fully open the system's circuits at the beginning, and try to slowly increase the temperature.
Δ Daily use
Temperature and pressure: The water supply temperature of the low-temperature hot water floor radiant heating system should not exceed 60 ℃, and the working pressure of the heating system should not exceed 0.6Mpa.
Branch flow rate: The temperature of each room can be achieved by adjusting the flow rate of the corresponding branch. In order to ensure the balance of flow in each branch, it is recommended to use a flow meter with a branch regulating valve from Nuoluo to avoid local branch short circuits, which may cause the room to become too cold or too hot.
Deflation: During the initial water supply and use of the underfloor heating system, air will accumulate in the pipes, increasing operational resistance and affecting heating efficiency. This can be achieved by opening the exhaust valve of the water separator for venting.
Load bearing: If heavy (≥ 2 tons/square meter) items are placed on the underfloor heating floor, contact the installation company or property management for consultation.

Floor heating maintenance instructions:

Δ Reasons for maintenance
After running for a heating period, geothermal pipelines will accumulate 1-1.5 millimeters of dirt and mud, causing the pipeline to shrink and the water flow rate to decrease, resulting in a corresponding decrease in indoor temperature by 3-6 ℃. This is more severe in areas with poor water quality. If the operation time is longer, if the pipeline is not effectively cleaned for a long time, the water flow will decrease, the flow rate will slow down, the indoor temperature will significantly decrease, and in severe cases, it will cause pipeline blockage, which cannot be unblocked, resulting in permanent and irreversible failure of the underfloor heating pipeline.
Δ How to judge
Due to the fact that the installation of underfloor heating pipes is a concealed project, they cannot be dismantled and inspected like wall mounted boilers. It is generally recommended to clean once a year, with a maximum duration of no more than two years.
The heating temperature in locally heated rooms has significantly decreased, and the system's heat dissipation is insufficient.
If it is a wall mounted boiler system, it may result in the inability to reach the rated load and frequent start stop.
Δ How to maintain it
Firstly, you must also find a professional HVAC company. The cleaning techniques adopted by most companies are pneumatic pulse pipeline cleaning and PSI cleaning and decontamination technology (PSI, which is a dry physical cleaning technology that uses compressed air as power and uses a PSI emitter to launch a specially designed projectile into the pipeline that is 10% -20% larger than the inner diameter of the pipeline, causing the projectile to move at high speed along the pipeline and rub fully against the inner wall of the pipeline, achieving pipeline cleaning).
Each branch is cleaned separately.
It is recommended to use professional system cleaning agents (neutral, to protect the metal fittings of the system) and protective agents (to extend the maintenance cycle).
